Hygienist Treatment
Dental hygienists are very important in helping to prevent dental disease. They remove hard deposits of calculus ( tartar) from the teeth and educate patients in oral hygiene care, working together with the patient, dentist and hygienist to ensure healthy teeth and gums
A clean and healthy mouth not only improves your smile and appearance, but research has now shown links between gum disease and other more serious health issues such as diabetes and heart disease, so it is even more important to maintain good oral health.
As well as routine scale and polishes, we are also pleased to offer our new popular Prophyjet cleaning – this is a deeper scaling carried out under local anaesthetic, when required to treat gum disease.
